Pasta with Ham & Cream Sauce

Simple pasta dishes such as spaghetti with tomato sauce, bolognese or cheese cream sauce are absolutely soul food. Made fast, delicious and the whole family enjoys.

In today’s post, I’ll show you an easy & delicious pasta dish with fusilli patsa & a simple ham cream sauce. To make the dish visually appealing, the sauce is spiced up with a few frozen peas. Have fun cooking!

Pasta with Ham & Cream Sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 grams pasta (for example fusilli or penne)
  • 200 milliliters vegetable stock
  • 200 milliliters cream
  • 150 grams ham
  • 150 grams green peas (frozen)
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 1 – 2 clove(s) garlic
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt & pepper

Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:

  • Large pot for pasta
  • Small pot or saucepan for sauce
  • Colander

Instructions:

Peel off an onion & chop finely. Also peel off 2 clove(s) garlic & chop finely. Cut ham into small cubes. Heat up a large pot with salted water, bring to a boil & cook pasta for 7 – 8 minutes or according to package direction until al dente.

Meanwhile for the sauce, heat up a saucepan adding a dash oil & sweat onions & garlic for about 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat until glassy, stirring occasionally. Next pour in 200 milliliters each of vegetable stock & cream, mix well & bring to a simmer over medium heat.




Once simmering add 150 grams frozen peas as well as the diced ham, give everything a good stir, season well with salt & pepper to taste & remove from heat.

…for pasta with ham & cream sauce:

Drain pasta over a colander & transfer back to the pot. Then add hot sauce & 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese & put everything back to the stove & allow the pasta to soak up the sauce almost completely, while stirring constantly over low to medium heat for about 1 minute.




Dish up the pasta with ham & cream sauce on deep plates. Garnish with some extra Parmesan cheese & freshly ground black pepper & serve immediately. Have fun cooking!
