Peel the onion and cut it into strips. Peel and chop the garlic as well. Halve the Nuremberg sausages or cut the bratwursts into slices. Preheat the oven in good time to 200\u00b0C (top\/bottom heat) or 180\u00b0C (fan oven).<\/p>\n<p>Next, heat a large pan with a splash of oil, add the sausages, onions &#038; garlic to the pan &#038; fry for 3 &#8211; 4 minutes over medium heat, turning occasionally. Next, pour the hot potato-sausage mixture into a large, suitable baking dish, distribute it evenly and sprinkle everything with 200 grams of grated Gouda (or other grated cheese).<\/p>\n<p>Put the potato casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes until the potatoes are cooked through and the cheese has taken on a golden brown color. Take the finished potato bake with sausages out of the oven, spread it on plates and serve garnished with chopped parsley.
