  • 140 milliliters of lukewarm water<\/li>\n
  • \u00bc cube of yeast<\/li>\n
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons vegetable oil<\/li>\n
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar<\/li>\n
  • \u00bd teaspoon of salt<\/li>\n
  • More flour to dust the worktop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Preparations for Homemade Hot Dogs:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        …for the bun dough:<\/em><\/p>\n

        Crumble \u00bc cube of yeast into a large vessel, add 1 tablespoon of sugar & also pour in 140 milliliters of lukewarm water. Stir with a whisk or a fork until the yeast and sugar have dissolved completely.<\/p>\n

        Give 250 grams of flour into a mixing bowl, pour in the yeast-water mixture, also add 2 – 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and \u00bd teaspoon of salt. Knead using a mixer with dough hook or a food processor to a smooth, but slightly sticky dough. Then form a ball, give it back to the mixing bowl and let rest\/stand covered with a kitchen towel for about 30 – 45 minute in a warm place (possibly in the oven at 30\u00b0C).<\/p>\n

        Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.<\/p>\n

        Lightly flour the work surface and knead the dough thoroughly for about 1 – 2 minutes. Then get a knife and cut into approximately 5 equal sized pieces. Form each piece of dough into a small ball shape.<\/p>\n

        Roll out the balls in succession using a rolling pin until flat & elongated. Roll up the elongated side with your hands until you got 1 – 2 centimeter wide bars. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet, cover with a kitchen towel and let rest\/stand for another 30 minutes in a warm place.<\/p>\n

        In time preheated the oven at 200\u00b0C (top\/bottom heat) and bake the buns for about 10 – 12 minutes until slightly brown.<\/p>\n

        …for the hot dogs:<\/em><\/p>\n

        Warm up the sausages in time either in the microwave or a pan\/pot.<\/p>\n

        Get a slightly cooled bun and slice it up using a long knife but not completely cut through. Then spread both sides with some mustard, also top the bun with a few slices of Danish or Norwegian cucumber salad. Place a hot sausage in the middle of the bun and garnish with ketchup and fried onions to taste. <\/p>\n
