Then bake onion cake in a preheated oven at 200\u00b0C (top\/bottom heat) for about 35 &#8211; 40 minutes until the surface is golden brown.<\/p>\n<p>Get the done onion cake out of the oven &#038; allow to stand within the springform pan for about 10 minutes to cool. Then remove springform pan, cut onion cake into pieces &#038; dish up on plates garnished with chopped chives.
