Homemade Red Cabbage with Apples<\/p><\/div>\n

Ingredients for 1 kilogram of Red Cabbage with Apples<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • 1 kilogram of red cabbage<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 250 milliliters of red wine<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 3 apples<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 1 onion<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 3 tablespoons wild cranberries<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Red wine vinegar<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 2 bay leaves<\/span><\/li>\n
  • \u00bd cinnamon stick<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 5 – 6 juniper berries<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 3 – 4 cloves<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Clarified butter<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Salt & pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • A tea bag for self filling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Instructions for the Homemade Red Cabbage with Apples:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Cut the red cabbage into fine strips with a sharp knife. Peel and finely chop the onion. Core the apples and grate coarsely with a grater. Then fill a tea bag to fill yourself with \u00bd a cinnamon stick, 2 bay leaves, 5 – 6 juniper berries & 3 – 4 cloves, fold over the opening of the tea bag 1 – 2 times & then close it several times with a stapler.<\/p>\n

      Heat a large pot with a tablespoon of clarified butter, add the grated apples and the finely chopped onion to the pot & saut\u00e9 for 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n

      Now add the red cabbage, mix everything together and saut\u00e9 the red cabbage briefly. Season everything with a good pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper, then add a dash of red wine vinegar, the tea bag with the spices, 3 tablespoons of wild cranberries and finally 250 milliliters of red wine.<\/p>\n

      Then mix everything together well & as soon as the red wine is simmering, simmer with the lid on for about 45 – 60 minutes over low heat, stirring the red cabbage occasionally. As soon as the desired consistency is reached, remove the tea bag with the spices & then serve with game goulash, for example.<\/a> Have fun imitating!<\/p>\n
