In today’s post I show you how simple & easy it is to cook a delicious Homemade Hot Chocolate.
The Hot Chocolate is made with milk chocolate as well as with dark chocolate and some cocoa powder here. Have fun cooking!

Homemade Hot Chocolate
Ingredients for 4 servings:
…for the hot chocolate:
- 1 liter milk
- 75 grams dark chocolate
- 75 grams milk chocolate
- 25 grams cocoa powder
- 1 sachet bourbon vanilla sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
…for garnishing:
- 1 cup cream
- Cocoa powder to dust
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Knife to chop the chocolate
- Pot or saucepan
- Whisk
- Possibly a blender to foam up the hot chocolate
- Cups to serve
Instructions for the Homemade Hot Chocolate:

Coarsely chop stark & milk chocolate with a knife. Beat cream until stiff with a w´mixer.

Preparing Hot Chocolate
…for the hot chocolate:
Pour 1 liter milk into a saucepan & add 1 cinnamon stick & 1 sachet vanilla sugar, then heat up over low to medium heat.
Stir together with a whisk & bring to a boil. Remove saucepan from heat once the milk starts to simmer to prevent the milk from boiling over.
Next, add 25 grams cocoa powder & the coarsely chopped chocolate & stir together until the chocolate is completely melted & the cocoa powder is well incorporated.
Last but not least foam up the hot chocolate with a blender for about 1 minute, then pour the hot chocolate into cups & serve garnished with whipped cream & some cocoa powder.
