Christmas is approaching this year with big steps and therefore I show you today a simple recipe for super delicious German spritz cookies.
For the dough, all the ingredients just need to be kneaded together & after a night in the fridge, the big cookie bakery is ready to go. Have fun baking!

Ingredients for about 75 cookies:
- 500 grams flour
- 200 grams sugar
- 125 grams soft butter
- 125 grams soft margarine
- 100 grams ground almonds
- 2 eggs
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- ½ sachet baking powder
- 200 grams dark chocolate for decorating
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Kitchen machine or mixer with dough hook
- Mixing bowl
- Cling film
- Meat grinder with cookie attachment
- Baking tray + baking paper
- Small jar for melted chocolate
Put all the ingredients from the ingredients list into a mixing bowl and knead together with a food processor or blender with dough hook for about 4 – 5 minutes until all ingredients are well combined. Then wrap the dough tightly in a sheet of cling film and allow to rest in the fridge overnight.
…for Spritz Cookies:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) the next day & line one or more baking tray(s) with parchment paper. Next, assemble a meat grinder with cookie attachment, gradually mince the dough through the meat grinder and place the cookies on the prepared baking trays with a little distance to each other.
Bake spritz cookies in the preheated oven for about 12 – 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy, then remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Decorate the cooled cookies with melted chocolate and let it harden. Have fun baking!
