Clafoutis with Strawberries

Ingredients for 1 small baking dish:

  • 300 grams strawberries (or other fruits of your choice)
  • 3 eggs
  • 50 grams of powdered sugar
  • 80 grams of flour
  • 200 milliliters of milk
  • Butter to grease
  • Powdered sugar to dust

  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixer
  • Sieve
  • Small casserole

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (top/bottom heat). Wash strawberries, then halve or quarter depending on size. Grease a small baking dish with a piece of butter.

…for the batter:

Add 3 eggs and 50 grams of powdered sugar in a mixing bowl & with a mixer beat for about 2 – 3 minutes until creamy and fluffy. Sift 80 grams of flour to the dough, also pour in 200 milliliters of milk and mix for another minute with the mixer until everything is well incorporated.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spread the strawberries over it and then bake in the preheated oven for about 35 – 40 minutes. Keep an eye on the oven from time to time to avoid the clafoutis gets too dark, so just lay some baking paper on the baking dish and continue baking until the clafoutis is completely hammered.

Get the clafoutis out of the oven, allow to cool slightly and then serve sprinkled with powdered sugar. Bon Appetite!
