I bake today: Baking Homemade Waffles

Ingredient for 12 – 15 Waffles:
- 350 grams flour
- 200 grams soft butter
- 4 eggs
- 125 grams sugar
- 125 milliliters sparkling water
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- ½ sachet baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar to dust
- Mixing bowl
- Mixer/food processor
- Waffle iron
- Cooling rack
Mix together 200 grams of soft butter, 125 grams sugar, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar & pinch of salt with a mixer or a kitchen machine for about 2 minutes. Then add a total of 4 eggs in succession and mix in each egg separately for about 1 minute.
Mix ½ sachet of baking powder with 350 grams of flour. Add the flour alternately with 125 milliliters of sparkling water to the batter & stir in until all ingredients have been used up & you got a smooth & thick waffle batter.
Preheat the waffle iron (maybe grease it with some oil or butter) & give 1 heaping tablespoon batter per waffle into the hot iron. Close the waffle iron and bake the waffles until golden brown for about 2 minutes each & continue baking until the whole waffle batter is used up.
Transfer the done waffles to a cooling rack and allow to cool briefly. Then serve still warm & dusted with powdered sugar. Have fun baking!
