Kinder Chocolate is a chocolate bar consisting of a milk cream coated with milk chocolate.

In today’s post I will show you how to make a Giant Kinder Chocolate Bar at home. Have fun baking!

Homemade Giant Kinder Chocolate

Ingredients for 1 Homemade Giant Kinder Chocolate:

  • 450 grams milk chocolate
  • 400 grams white chocolate
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 200 grams solidified coconut fat
  • 3 tablespoons oil

Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:

  • Loaf pan (length ~30cm)
  • 2 cardboard plates (dimensions 10cm x 9cm)
  • 2 cardboard plates (dimensions 5,5cm x 9cm)
  • Cling film
  • Cellotape
  • Some newsprint papers
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons oil to grease the loaf pan
  • Microwave
  • Pot + suitable bowl for the double boiler or use a microwave to melt chocolate
  • Brush
  • Knife
  • Whisk
  • Baking paper
  • 2 equal high coffee mugs

Instructions:




…preparations for baking pan:

First tinker 2 separating parts out of the 4 cardboard plates, scotch tape, newsprint & cling film, as shown in the video (minute 0:25 – 2:55) at the bottom of the post. Next, grease the baking pan with 1 – 2 tablespoons of oil, lay out with a sheet of cling film & place the two separating parts in the mold with an even distance, then set the mold aside.

…for milk cream:

For the cream filling, put 200 grams solidified coconu tfat, 400 grams of white chocolate & 1 can of sweetened condensed milk in a mixing bowl & heat in the microwave for 1 – 1,5 minutes at 700 watts. Then remove the mixing bowl from the microwave and stir through everything.




Afterwards heat everything again for another 1 – 1,5 minutes at 700 watts in the microwave, take it out and stir until chocolate & fat have melted completely (possibly reheat again) & you got a viscous & thick cream.

When done pour the cream into the prepared baking mold & fill the 3 chambers with it. Smooth down the cream a little and allow to harden in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

…for giant chocolate bar:

After 4 hours, pour 150 grams of melted whole milk chocolate onto the cooled cream layer, spread everything evenly with a brush & then put the baking pan in the fridge again until the chocolate has hardened.

As soon as the chocolate is firm, carefully drop the chocolate bar onto the worktop. Then peel off the cling film, carefully remove the two separating parts & also “drive along” the curves with a knife to remove excess cream.




Finally, melt another 300 grams of whole milk chocolate & stir together with 3 tablespoons of oil until the chocolate is nice and liquid. Then line the worktop with a sheet of baking paper, place 2 equal sized coffee cups onto it & carefully put the giant chocolate bar onto the cups.

Pour the melted chocolate over the chocolate bar to coat completely with an even chocolate layer. Then remove the chocolate tips at the bottom with a knife, allow the bar to harden completely and serve. Have fun baking!
