  • 500 ground meat (half beef/half pork)
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2 zucchinis
  • 600 milliliters vegetable stock
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 – 2 clove(s) garlic
  • A teaspoon each of oregano, thyme, sweet paprika powder & spicy paprika powder
  • Salt & pepper
  • Oil for frying

Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:

  • Large pan or pot for farmer’s pot

Peel potatoes & cut into cubes that are not too small. Deseed bell peppers & cut into bite-sized pieces. Halve the zucchinis lengthways and also cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel onion & garlic & chop finely.

…for farmer’s pot:

Heat up a large pan or pot adding a dash oil, add onions & garlic to the pan & sweat over medium heat for about 2 – 3 minutes until glassy, stirring occasionally. Next add 500 grams ground meat to the pan & brown for another 3 – 4 minutes until crumbly, while stirring from time to time.

If that’s done season the meat with a teaspoon each of oregano, thyme, sweet paprika powder & spicy paprika powder, also add the potatoes to the pan & then stir together everything until well mixed. Next, pour in 600 milliliters vegetable stock as well as a can chopped tomatoes, bring to a boil & allow to simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
