Ingredients for 4 – 6 servings:
- 500 grams of ground meat (half beef / half pork)
- 500 grams potatoes
- 400 grams cheese spread (herbs or cream)
- 2 – 3 sticks leeks
- 1 liter vegetable stock
- A teaspoon each of garlic & onion powder
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying

Peel potatoes & cut into bite-size cubes. Clean leeks & cut into rings about 1 centimeter thick. Next, heat up a large pan or pot adding a good dash of oil & fry the ground meat until crumbly for 2 – 3 minutes, then season the meat with salt & pepper.
Afterwards put the potatoes in the pan & fry for another 2 – 3 minutes, turning occasionally. Finally, add the leeks & also pour in 1 liter of vegetable stock until all the ingredients are just covered with liquid. Bring everything to a boil & allow to simmer for 10 – 12 minutes until the potatoes are cooked.
Finally, stir in 400 grams of cheese spread (herb or cream cheese spread) and allow to melt in the hot soup, also season everything with 1 teaspoon of onion and garlic powder & a good pinch of salt & pepper.
Then dish up the cheese and leek soup with ground meat & potatoes on deep plates and best serve together with bread. Have fun cooking!
