Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 grams macaroni pasta (or any other pasta shape of your choice)
- 400 grams mushrooms
- 400 milliliters water
- 400 milliliters milk
- 200 milliliters white wine
- 200 milliliters cream
- 1 large onion
- 2 – 3 cloves garlic
- 50 grams of Parmesan cheese
- A large handful fresh parsley
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Large pan or pot with lid
…for One Pot Pasta:
Peel onion & garlic & chop finely. Clean mushrooms & cut into not too thin slices. Finely chop parsley. Finely grate Parmesan cheese with a grater & set aside until further use.
Next, heat up a large pan with a dash of oil, add the onions and garlic to the pan & sweat for 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat, then add the mushroom slices and fry briefly with turning.
When that’s done, deglaze everything with 200 milliliters white wine & allow to boil down a bit, then add 500 grams of macaroni pasta to the pan & also pour in 400 milliliters each of water and milk as well as 200 milliliters of cream. Season the pasta with 2 teaspoons of salt, give everything a good stir and bring to a boil.
Allow to the pasta to simmer gently with the lid closed for about 10 – 12 minutes over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally from time to time, so that all ingredients are well distributed and nothing can burn to the bottom of the pan.
As soon as the macaroni are cooked & the liquid has almost completely absorbed, season the one pot pasta with freshly ground pepper to taste, also add finely chopped parsley & grated Parmesan cheese. Then give everything a last good stir, pull the pan off the heat & spread the one pot pasta on deep plates and serve immediately. Have fun cooking!
