In today’s post I will show you a delicious hamburger recipe for a super delicious Greek Style Bifteki Burger with feta cheese & a simple & easy Greek yogurt sauce.

Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 grams ground beef
- 4 burger buns (store bought or homemade)
- 200 grams Greek cream yogurt
- 150 grams feta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 beef tomato
- 1 red onion
- ¼ cucumber
- 1 – 2 cloves garlic
- A teaspoon each of sweet paprika, oregano & cumin
- Olive oil
- White wine vinegar
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying

- Mixing bowl
- Garlic press
- Frying pan
- Small bowl for sauce

Cut the tomato & cucumber into slices. Peel off red onion & cut into fine rings. For tzatziki sauce, stir together 200 grams of Greek cream yoghurt with 1 – 2 pressed garlic cloves, a dash of olive oil, a dash of white wine vinegar and a pinch of salt & pepper, then set aside.
For the ground beef mixture, put 500 grams of ground beef in a large mixing bowl. Add 150 grams of crumbled feta cheese, 1 egg, a teaspoon each of cumin, oregano & sweet paprika powder & season everything with a good pinch of salt & pepper to taste. Next, knead everything with your hands until well combined.
…for burger patties:
Divide the feta beef mixture into 4 equal sized portions and flatten each into 4 beef patties with your hands or a burger press. Then heat up a large pan with a dash of oil and fry the beef patties on each side for approx. 3 – 4 minutes over medium heat until brown and crispy.
Halve the burger buns, roast them on the cut surfaces if necessary & then top with tzatziki sauce, feta beef patty, cucumber slices, tomato slices & onion rings as you wish. Have fun cooking!
