Spaghetti, penne, fusilli or tagliatelle. We love pasta in all shapes and variations, which is why they are always on our menu. Today I’ll show you an uncomplicated recipe with spaghetti, chopped tomatoes & feta cheese that is on the table within 20 minutes.

In today’s post I will show you a super quick & easy recipe for spaghetti with a tomato feta sauce. Have fun cooking!

Spaghetti with Tomato Feta Sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 grams spaghetti
  • 200 milliliters milk
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes (400 grams)
  • 150 grams feta cheese
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ajvar
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt, sugar & pepper
  • Feta cheese & basil leaves for garnish

Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:

  • Pot or saucepan for sauce
  • Large pot for pasta
  • Pasta strainer

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the spaghetti & cook the spaghetti for 6 – 7 minutes or according to the package instructions until al dente, then pour over a pasta strainer & put back into the pot.

For the sauce, peel off a large onion and 2 cloves of garlic & chop finely, then heat up a small saucepan with a dash of oil, add onions & garlic to the pot & sweat for 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat until translucent.

Next, add 1 can of chopped tomatoes, 200 milliliters of milk, 1 tablespoon of ajvar & 1 teaspoon each of sweet paprika powder and oregano, mix everything well and then bring to a simmer.

Crumble 150 grams of feta into the simmering sauce, add a good pinch of salt, sugar & pepper to taste, stir well one last time & then serve along with the spaghetti on deep plates. Use a little extra feta & basil for the garnish. Have fun cooking!
