Instructions:
…for Chicken Paprikash:
Core the peppers & cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel and roughly chop the onions. Peel off the garlic & roughly chop it too. Heat up a large pan with a dash of oil & sweat the vegetables in it over medium heat for 3 – 4 minutes, turning occasionally.
Add 3 teaspoons of sweet as well as 1 teaspoon of hot/spicy paprika powder & a good pinch of salt & pepper to the pan, stir briefly until well combined & then add 1 can of chopped tomatoes & place the chicken legs side by side in the pan.
Season the chicken with salt & pepper & then pour in water until the chicken is just covered with liquid. Bring everything to a boil & then gently simmer with the lid closed for 1 hour over low heat.
Lift the chicken out of the pan after 1 hour & set aside for a moment. Then mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with a dash of cold water & add to the sauce together with 200 grams of creme fraiche.
Give everything a good stir until well combined, put the chicken back in the pan & then allow everything to simmer briefly until the sauce has reached a creamy consistency.
Then serve the chicken with pasta, potatoes or a side dish of your choice. Garnish with a little finely chopped parsley. Have fun cooking!
