Peel and finely chop the onion. Also peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash, deseed and cut the peppers into strips or bite-sized pieces. Heat a large pan with a good dash of oil, add the onions & garlic to the pan & sweat for 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat, turning occasionally.
Next, increase the heat a little, add the minced meat & sauté for another 3 – 4 minutes until crumbly. Then add the pepper strips & also sauté for 3 – 4 minutes, stirring or turning occasionally. Finally, season with 1 teaspoon each of paprika powder (sweet) and paprika powder (smoked) & a good pinch of salt & pepper & briefly stir in the spices.
When that’s done, add 750 grams of spaetzle (from the refrigerated section), 200 milliliters each of cream and vegetable stock as well as 1 heaping tablespoon of ajvar to the pan, stir everything well, bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes over medium heat until everything is nice has reached a creamy consistency.
Finally, season the spaetzle pan again with salt and pepper, remove from the heat and dish up on deep plates. Garnish with some chopped parsley & serve. Have fun cooking! Enjoy your meal!
