In today’s post I’ll show you another simple and quick one pot pasta version, for which I used a barbecue sauce that was still in our fridge from the summer barbecue season.
In this recipe we cook a one pot pasta with barbecue tomato sauce, minced meat, mushrooms & bell peppers. A nice way to use up leftover grill sauces (in this case barbecue sauce). Have fun cooking!

Instructions:
…for BBQ One Pot Pasta:
Peel the onion and cut it into strips. Also peel the garlic and chop finely. Wash the peppers, remove the seeds and then cut them into strips. Clean and slice mushrooms. Then heat a large pan with a splash of oil, add the ground meat to the pan and fry over medium to high heat for 3 – 4 minutes until crumbly, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Next, add onions, garlic, peppers and mushrooms and fry for another 2 – 3 minutes, turning occasionally. Then add 400 grams of fusilli (alternatively another type of pasta), 500 grams of pureed tomatoes, 800 milliliters of water, 150 – 200 milliliters of barbecue sauce, 2 teaspoons of pizza seasoning and 1 heaping teaspoon of salt into the pan, stir everything well, bring to the boil and allow to simmer gently with the lid closed over low to medium heat for about 10 – 12 minutes.
Stir the one pot pasta from time to time so that all the ingredients can be spread evenly and nothing can burn on the bottom of the pan. As soon as the pasta is cooked and the liquid has almost completely absorbed, season everything with a good pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Then remove the one pot pasta from heat, arrange it on deep plates and serve garnished with chopped parsley. Have fun cooking!
