The weather is slowly getting better & the barbecue season is starting again. That’s why I’ve prepared a quick recipe for delicious steak sandwiches with grilled pork loin steaks and coleslaw for you today.
The recipe is super easy to cook and prepare. I prepared the steaks in a grill pan, but you can also fire up the grill & prepare the pork loin steaks on the grill. Have fun imitating!

Simple Grilled Pork Chop Sandwiches with Coleslaw
Ingredients for 4 Cheeseburger Sandwiches:
- 4 bread rolls
- 600 grams pork loin or neck
- 750 grams pointed cabbage
- 150 grams creme fraiche
- A teaspoon each of sweet paprika, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder & “Pul Biber”
- White wine vinegar & oil for coleslaw
- Salt, sugar & pepper
- Oil for frying
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Bowl for coleslaw
- Bowl for seasoned steaks
- Meat tenderizer
- Grill or grill pan
Instructions:

Use a knife, cut the pork loin into 4 pieces or steaks of roughly the same size, then pound all the steaks very lightly flat with the ridged side of a meat mallet.Give the pounded steaks together with 1 teaspoon each of salt, sugar, thyme, paprika powder (sweet), garlic powder, onion powder & “Pul Biber” in a bowl & mix well, set the seasoned steaks aside.
Info: “Pul Biber” is the name for dried mild or hot paprika, widely used in Turkish cuisine.

Seasoning Steaks & Preparing Coleslaw
For the coleslaw, cut the pointed cabbage into thin strips, then put in a bowl together with a good pinch of salt & sugar & knead with your hands for 2 – 3 minutes until the cabbage starts to lose water. Season the coleslaw with 150 grams of crème fraiche, a good dash of vinegar, oil and freshly ground pepper. Stir well and set aside until ready to serve.

Grilling Steaks
For the steaks, heat a large grill pan (alternatively grill) with a small dash of oil & as soon as the pan is really hot, put the steaks in the pan & sear for about 3 – 4 minutes on each side, turning once. Lift the done steaks out of the pan. Finally, cut the chives into fine rolls for the garnish.

For serving halve the rolls, if necessary toast them briefly on the cutting side & then top with coleslaw & grilled steak. Garnish with finely chopped chives & serve. Have fun cooking!
