Potato wedges are baked or fried potato slices that are crispy on the outside & soft on the inside. In today’s post, I’ll show you how to cook these delicious potato wedges at home.
The potatoes will be cut into slices with their peel, then seasoned and finally baked in the oven until golden brown and crispy. I wish you lots of fun cooking 😉

Ingredients for 1 Sheet Homemade Potato Wedges:
- 1 kilogram waxy potatoes
- 1 heaping teaspoon spicy paprika powder
- About 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 – 4 tablespoons oil
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Mixing bowl
- Baking sheet + baking paper

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) in good time. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Thoroughly wash the potatoes, then cut into equal sized slices with the peel and place in a mixing bowl.
Next add a heaping teaspoon spicy paprika powder, a pinch of salt (about a teaspoon) and 3 – 4 tablespoons of oil to the potato wedges & mix well until oil & spices spread evenly.
Distribute the potato slices evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven until golden brown and crispy for approx. 30 – 45 minutes. Get the done potato wedges out of the oven & serve along with homemade ketchup. I wish you lots of fun cooking 😉
