Homemade Giant Kinder Paradiso Cake

Kinder Paradiso is a cake bar & consists of 2 layers of sponge cake, a layer of milk cream in the middle & everything topped with a small layer of powdered sugar.

In today’s post, I’ll show you how to bake a giant Kinder Paradiso with lemon flavor at home. Have fun baking!

Homemade Giant Kinder Paradiso Cake

Ingredients for 1 Homemade Giant Kinder Paradiso Cake:

…for sponge cake:

  • 3 eggs
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 75 grams flour
  • 50 grams cornstarch
  • 25 milliliters milk
  • 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • 1 organic lemon (zest)

…for milk cream:

  • 200 milliliters cream
  • 200 grams mascarpone cheese
  • 50 grams powdered sugar
  • 1 sachet cream stabilizer

Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Blender
  • Whisk
  • Sieve
  • Grater
  • Baking sheet + baking paper
  • Baking frame (dimensions approx. 25cm x 20cm)
  • Clean kitchen towel
  • Spatula + dough card

Instructions for the Homemade Giant Kinder Paradiso Cake:




…for sponge cake:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) in good time. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a baking frame (dimensions 25cm x 20cm) on it. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 eggs, 100 grams sugar, 25 milliliters milk & 1 sachet vanilla sugar & mix together until fluffy with a blender or a kitchen machine for 3 – 4 minutes.

Next add lemon zest of an organic lemon & also use a sieve & sift 75 grams flour, 50 grams cornstarch & a heaping teaspoon baking powder to the egg mixture. Use a whisk or spatula to gently fold in flour, cornstarch & baking powder & then pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.




Put the sponge cake into the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, then remove it from the oven & allow to cool. Remove the baking frame, for that drive along the edges with a blunt knife & then carefully overthrow sponge cake onto a clean kitchen towel.

Peel off the baking paper & cut the sponge cake into 2 equal sized pieces (approx. 25cm x 10cm) with a knife, then set aside until further use.

…for milk cream & Kinder Paradiso Cake:

Put 200 grams of mascarpone, 200 milliliters of cream, 50 grams of powdered sugar and 1 sachet of cream stabilizer into a mixing bowl and beat until stiff with a blender for 1 – 2 minutes. Spread the milk cream evenly on one of the two sponge cake plates and then gently press the second plate onto the cream.

Straighten the emerging cream on the edges with a dough card or a knife and then serve the Kinder Paradiso dusted with some powdered sugar. Have fun baking!
