In my last post I showed you a quick & simple recipe for a shrimp curry & today we just stay in the seafood area and prepare delicious salmon meatballs or salmon patties with cucumber salad.
The preparation is super easy & the salmon patties are on the table within 30 minutes. Have fun cooking!

Ingredients for 6 – 8 Salmon Patties:
- 600 grams salmon fillet (without skin)
- 125 grams sour cream
- 50 grams breadcrumbs
- 2 slices sandwich bread
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion
- A handful fresh dill
- A handful fresh chives
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Mixing bowl
- Large frying pan for salmon patties
First cut the salmon into strips and then into fine cubes. Finely dice the sandwich bread. Chop dill & chives finely. Peel the onion and chop finely. Then place the salmon, bread, herbs and onion in a large mixing bowl.
Next, add 2 eggs, 50 grams of breadcrumbs, 125 grams of sour cream & a good pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper & stir everything with a spoon until all the ingredients are well combined.
…for salmon patties:
Form 6 – 8 patties of the same size from the salmon mixture, if necessary moisten your hands slightly. Then heat up a large pan with a good dash of oil & fry the salmon patties very slowly for 4 – 5 minutes on each side over medium heat until brown and crispy.
Lift the done salmon patties out of the pan & then serve them along with for example a creamy cucumber salad and lemon wedges. Enjoy your meal & have fun cooking!
