Today I will show you how simple & easy it is to backe a classic sandwich bread with wheat flour. Have fun baking!

Ingredients for 1 Sandwich Bread:
- 750 grams flour
- 450 milliliters water
- 50 grams soft butter
- ½ cube of fresh yeast (about 20 grams)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Additional flour for the countertop
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- High container for the yeast-water mixture
- Mixing bowl
- Mixer/Kitchen machine
- Kitchen towel
- Loaf pan (length ~30cm)
…for the bread dough:
Crumble ½ cube of yeast into a tall container, also add 450 milliliters of lukewarm water & 1 teaspoon of sugar & stir together with a whisk or fork until yeast and sugar have completely dissolved.
Next, put the yeast-water mixture along with 750 grams of flour, 50 grams of soft butter & 1 tablespoon salt in a mixing bowl & knead with a food processor or a mixer with a dough hook for about 4 – 5 minutes to a smooth dough.
Then shape the dough into a ball on a lightly floured work surface, put it back to the mixing bowl & allow to rest in a warm place covered with a kitchen towel for about 45 – 60 minutes.
…for sandwich bread:
After 1 hour, knead the dough briefly on a lightly floured work surface, shape it into a roll of about 30cm length & transfer to a buttered loaf pan. Cover the pan with a kitchen towel and allow the bread to rest for another 45 – 60 minutes in a warm place .
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) in good time. After about 45 minutes, cut the bread about 1 centimeter in length with a sharp knife and then bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
Take the done bread out of the oven after 30 minutes, allow to cool completely and then serve still warm. Have fun baking!
