In today’s post I will show you a simple recipe for a delicious Asian noodle salad with mie noodles, fried minced meat & vegetables, the dressing mainly consists of sweet chili sauce, soy sauce & lime juice.

I used Asian Mie noodles for this pasta salad, but you can also use other types of pasta such as penne or spaghetti for this recipe as well. Have fun cooking!

Asian Noodle Salat with Ground Beef

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 grams ground meat (half beef/half pork)
  • 125 grams mie noodles
  • 100 milliliters sweet chili sauce
  • 100 milliliters soy sauce
  • 3 – 4 spring onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 bell peppers (red & yellow)
  • 2 small limes
  • 1 small piece ginger
  • 1 – 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt & pepper
  • Oil for frying

Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:

  • Small bowl for mie noodles
  • Water heater
  • Pasta strainer
  • Frying pan for meat
  • Salad bowl
  • Fine grater
  • Whisk
  • Peeler


…for Asian noodle salad:

Heat the water heater with plenty of water & bring the water to a boil. Put 125 grams of mie noodles in a suitable bowl & pour boiling water over them, set aside for 10 – 12 minutes & then drain over a pasta strainer & allow to evaporate.



Heat up a large pan with a dash of oil, fry the ground meat crumbly for 4 – 5 minutes, turning occasionally over medium heat, season with salt & pepper and also set aside.

Core the peppers & cut into thin strips. Free the spring onions from wilted green & cut them into fine rings. Peel the carrots and cut them into long and thin strips using a peeler.

For the dressing, squeeze 2 limes with a lemon squeezer. Grate the garlic & ginger finely with a grater. Put 100 milliliters of sweet chili sauce, 100 milliliters soy sauce together with the lime juice, garlic & ginger in a mixing bowl & stir with a whisk until well combined.

Finally, add mie noodles, ground meat & vegetables to the dressing, mix everything together & then spread and serve the Asian mie noodle salad on deep plates. Have fun cooking!

    I followed the recipe exactly for dinner last night. Next time, I might change things up a little by substituting or adding veggies like bean sprouts, shredded Persian cucumbers and sesame seeds because I believe these ingredients would also work with the dressing.
