Instructions:
…for meat strips with creamy onion sauce:
First cut the pork loin into finger-thick slices and then into strips. Peel the onions & also cut into strips. For the sauce, put 1 heaped teaspoon of cornstarch, 200 milliliters of cream, 200 milliliters of vegetable or meat stock & a pressed clove of garlic in a tall container, stir together briefly & set aside until further use.
Next, heat up a large pan with a good dash of oil, add the meat to the hot pan & sear over medium to high heat for 3 – 4 minutes, season with salt & pepper to taste while turning occasionally. Lift the meat out of the pan and set aside.
Then add a heaping tablespoon of butter & the onion strips to the pan & sauté over medium heat for 6 – 7 minutes until translucent, turning occasionally. Then pour in the prepared sauce, bring everything to a boil and simmer for 1 – 2 minutes until the sauce has reached a creamy consistency.
Finally, put the meat back into the pan, stir everything well one last time & warm up the meat in the hot sauce. Spread the finished onion cream slices on deep plates, garnish with some chopped parsley & serve with cooked rice, for example. Have fun cooking!
