Instructions:
…for brownie waffles:
For the topping, wash the strawberries, remove the green & quarter them. Chop or grate white chocolate. Whip the cream (possibly with a sachet of vanilla sugar) with a mixer until stiff. Then heat a pot at the lowest level, add 100 grams each of butter and dark chocolate & melt while stirring constantly, then remove from the heat.
Put 2 large eggs, 125 grams of brown sugar (alternatively use white sugar) & 1 sachet of vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl & whisk briefly with a whisk or mixer. Then pour in the chocolate butter mixture & stir everything together briefly until all ingredients are combined.
Finally add 150 grams of flour, a heaping tablespoon of baking cocoa, a teaspoon of baking powder and 75 milliliters of milk to the mixing bowl & stir or fold in well one last time. Then heat up a waffle iron over medium to high heat (here level 7 of 10) & grease with butter or oil if necessary.
For each waffle, put a heaping tablespoon of batter in the hot waffle iron, close the waffle iron & bake the waffles in it for about 1 – 2 minutes. Then carefully lift out of the waffle iron & let cool on a grid.
Tip: The longer the baking time, the drier the waffles will be. If the brownie waffles should still be a bit moist and fudgy inside, shorten the baking time accordingly.
To serve, place the done brownie waffles on a plate, then serve garnished with the whipped cream, quartered strawberries (or other fruits or berries), and chopped white chocolate. Have fun baking and bon appetit!
