Instructions:
…for ring shaped butter cookies:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven) or 200°C (top-bottom heat). Take the butter out of the fridge in good time. Put soft butter together with 75 grams of powdered sugar, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl and beat with a mixer for 1 – 2 minutes until soft & creamy.
Next, add 1 egg, 200 grams of flour and 50 grams of ground almonds to the mixing bowl and mix together a mixer until a smooth batter is formed. Fill the batter into a piping bag with a star nozzle and pipe about 12 small rings/curls per baking tray onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Do not pipe the curls too large or wide and leave some space between the cookies.
Finally, fill all the curls with a little bit jam and put the baking tray in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes. After the baking time, take the butter curls out of the oven and let them cool completely on the baking tray, if necessary decorate with additional powdered sugar. Have fun baking!
