In the last few weeks I have shown you a number of different one pot pasta recipes, including with broccoli & bacon, a one pot pasta with crabs & spinach or a veggie version with ricotta & spinach.
For today I come up with a colorful one pot pasta variant with vegetables & chopped Vienna sausages, the vegetables consist of carrots, corn & peas (a veggie mixture from the freezer shelf). I hope you will enjoy this recipe & have fun cooking!

Our Recipe rating:
Ingredients for 4 – 6 servings:
- 500 grams fusilli pasta (or any other pasta shape of your choice)
- 800 milliliters water
- 400 grams frozen veggies (here a mixture of carrots, corn & peas)
- 4 – 6 Vienna sausages
- 200 milliliters cream
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 large onion
- 2 – 3 cloves garlic
- 1 heaping teaspoon oregano
- 2 handful grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying
- Parsley for garnish
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Large pan or pot with lid
Instructions:
…for One Pot Pasta:
Peel the onion & garlic & chop finely. Slice up the Vienna sausages with a knife & set aside until further use. Finely chop the parsley & set aside for the garnish. Then heat up a large pan with a dash of oil, add the onions & garlic to the pan & sweat for 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat, turning occasionally.
Next, put 500 grams of fusilli pasta, 800 milliliters of water, 200 milliliters of cream, 1 can of chopped tomatoes, 400 grams of frozen vegetables, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 1 heaping teaspoon of oregano in the pan, stir everything well, bring to a boil & then allow to simmer gently with the lid closed over low heat for approx. 10 – 12 minutes.
Stir through the pasta from time to time so that all ingredients can be evenly distributed & nothing can burn on the bottom of the pan. As soon as the pasta is cooked & has absorbed the liquid almost completely, add 2 generous hands grated Parmesan and the sausage slices & also a good pinch of pepper.
Finally stir the one pot pasta well one last time & warm it up briefly, then remove the pan from the heat & dish up the one pot pasta on deep plates & best serve immediately garnished with a little finely chopped parsley if necessary. Have fun cooking!
