Instructions:
…for the bread dough:
Crumble ½ cube of yeast into a tall container, also add 3000 milliliters of lukewarm water & 1 teaspoon of sugar & stir together with a whisk or fork until yeast and sugar have completely dissolved.
Next, put the yeast-water mixture along with 500 grams of flour, 100 grams fried onions, 25 grams of soft butter & a teaspoon each of salt & onion powder in a mixing bowl & knead with a food processor or a mixer with a dough hook for about 4 – 5 minutes to a smooth dough.
Then shape the dough into a ball or bread loaf on a lightly floured work surface, place the bread onto a lined baking sheet & dust with some additional flour on top. Then cover with a kitchen towel & allow to rest for 60 minutes in a warm place.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) in good time. After 60 minutes, cut the bread about 1 centimeter in length with a sharp knife and then bake in the preheated oven for about 35 – 40 minutes until gold brown & crispy.
Take the done bread out of the oven after baking time, allow to cool completely and then serve still warm. Have fun baking!
