Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kilogram mostly waxy potatoes
- 500 grams ground beef or pork (or a mixture of both)
- 400 milliliters milk
- 200 milliliters cream
- 4 carrots
- 1 large onion
- 1 – 2 clove(s) garlic
- About ½ teaspon nutmeg
- Oil for frying
- Salt & pepper

…for creamy potato stir-fry:
Peel the potatoes & cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel the carrots, halve lengthways & cut into pieces. Peel the onion & garlic & chop finely. Next, heat up a large pan with a dash of oil, add onions & garlic to the pan & sweat until translucent for 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat.
Next, add 500 grams of ground meat to the pan & fry until crumbly for another 3 – 4 minutes over medium to high heat, turning occasionally. Finally add prepared potatoes & carrots, also pour in 400 milliliters of milk & 200 milliliters of cream & season well with a very good pinch of salt & pepper & about ½ teaspoon of grated nutmeg to taste.
Bring the pan’s contents to a boil & then simmer gently for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally over low heat, until the potatoes are cooked & everything has reached a creamy consistency. Then spread the done creamy potato pan on deep plates, garnish with some finely chopped parsley and serve. Have fun cooking!
