In today’s post, I’ll show you a simple recipe for a delicious pasta salad with tuna, yogurt dressing and vegetables, the ideal salad for any barbecue party or as a main meal.

I used fusilli for this pasta salad, but other types of pasta such as penne or spaghetti are also suitable for this recipe. Have fun cooking!

Simple Tuna Pasta Salad with Veggies

Ingredients for 1 large bowl full of salad:

  • 400 grams pasta (“fusilli” or small macaroni for example)
  • 300 grams cherry tomatoes
  • 200 grams yogurt
  • 200 grams sour cream
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 can corn
  • 2 cans tuna (in own juice)
  • 1 heaping tablespoon dill (fresh or frozen)
  • Olive oil & White wine vinegar
  • Salt, sugar & pepper

Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:

  • Large pot for pasta
  • Pasta strainer
  • Large bowl for salad

Instructions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil & cook the noodles for 7 – 8 minutes or according to package directions until al dente, then drain in a colander & rinse with cold water. Halve or quarter the small tomatoes depending on their size. Cut the cucumber into small pieces or cubes. Peel and finely chop the onion. Wash and finely chop the dill (or you can use frozen dill). Drain a can of corn.

For the dressing, put 200 grams of yoghurt as well as sour cream in a large salad bowl. Add 1 heaping tablespoon of finely chopped dill (frozen or fresh), a good dash of white wine vinegar as well as olive oil and a very good pinch of salt, sugar and pepper. Stir everything well, then add the chopped vegetables, the drained pasta, drained corn & 2 cans of tuna including the juice & infusion.

Stir the tuna pasta salad well once so that all the ingredients can be evenly distributed, possibly season again with salt & pepper to taste & then serve or offer the tuna pasta salad at the next barbecue party. Have fun cooking!
