On this blog I have already shown you two nice alternatives to the classic kebab from the fast food store around the corner, namely a delicious halloumi kebab here & here I showed you a recipe for a veggie “Dürüm” kebab.
In today’s post, I’ll show you another quick kebab variant, this time with ground meat & paprika. The meat paprika mixture is served in a flatbread together with salad and feta cheese. Have fun cooking at home!

Instructions:
…for simple ground meat kebab with paprika:
Wash, core and cut the peppers into small pieces. Peel and roughly chop the onion. Also peel off the garlic & cut into thin slices. Cut the flatbread into 4 equal pieces & briefly toast them in a grill pan or panini grill. Cut the iceberg lettuce into strips. Crumble the feta cheese. Finely chop the parsley.
Heat up a large pan with a good dash of oil, add peppers, onions & garlic to the pan & sauté for 3 – 4 minutes over medium heat & occasionally turning. When that’s done add the ground meat & fry until crumbly for another 4 – 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
Season the meat paprika mixture with a good pinch of salt & pepper, also add 1 teaspoon each of cumin, sumac, oregano & sweet as well as hot/spicy paprika powder, stir in the spices briefly & briefly allow to raost for a couple of seconds.
Next add a can of chopped tomatoes, stir everything well one last time & allow to simmer over low heat for another 2 – 3 minutes until serving.
For filling, halve the roasted flatbreads in the middle, but do not cut through completely, then fill with the meat pepper mixture & iceberg lettuce, and finally garnish with some crumbled feta or herder cheese & finely chopped parsley. Have fun cooking at home!
