The day before yesterday I discovered locally grown pointed cabbage in the supermarket & had to grab it right away. Pointed cabbage is so versatile and ideal for a quick stir-fry.
In today’s post I’ll show you a quick & very simple recipe for a delicious tortellini pan with pointed cabbage & minced meat. The tortellini pan is seasoned with smoked paprika powder, among other things, so delicious. You definitely have to try this. Have fun cooking!

Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 600 grams pointed cabbage
- 500 grams ground meat (beef, pork or mixed)
- 400 grams of tortellini (from the refrigerated section)
- 200 grams creme fraiche
- 200 milliliters veggie or meat stock
- 1 large onion
- 1 – 2 cloves garlic
- 1 heaping tablespoon ajvar (mild or spicy)
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika powder
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying

- Large pan or pot
Instructions:

Peel and finely chop the onion & garlic. Clean pointed cabbage and cut into fine strips. Heat a large pan with a splash of oil, add the onions and garlic to the pan and sauté for 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat, turning occasionally, until translucent. Then add 500 grams of ground beef and fry for another 4 – 5 minutes over medium to high heat until crumbly, season with salt and pepper.
Next add the pointed cabbage and fry for another 3 – 4 minutes, turning occasionally. When that’s done, add 400 grams of tortellini, 200 grams of creme fraiche, 200 milliliters of vegetable (or meat) stock & 1 heaping tablespoon of ajvar (mild or spicy) and 1 teaspoon each of sweet and smoked paprika powder. Stir everything well, allow to simmer for a few minutes until creamy and finally season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spread the done tortellini pan with pointed cabbage and ground beef on deep plates, garnish with chopped chives or chopped parsley if necessary and serve. Have fun cooking. Bon appetit!
