The “currywurst” is one of my absolute favorite fast food dishes, simply unbeatable together with crispy fries, mayonnaise & extra curry powder. Our family also likes to eat pasta & I really like the one pot pasta dishes, which are super easy to cook & quick on the table .
I haven’t had both together, i.e. a one-pot pasta & a currywurst, on my plate yet. That’s why today I’m going to show you a combination of pasta & currywurst in a simple one-pot pasta version. Have fun cooking!

Instructions:
…for “Currywurst Style” One Pot Pasta:
Cut sausages into slices. Peel and coarsely chop a large onion. Peel and slice the garlic cloves as well. Next, heat up a large pan with a dash of oil, add the sausage slices, onions & garlic to the pan & sauté for 3 – 4 minutes over medium heat, turning occasionally.
Then add 500 grams of fusilli noodles, 2 heaping tablespoons of ajvar & 1 heaping tablespoon of sugar beet syrup, also pour in 750 milliliters of tomato passata and 750 milliliters of water.
Finally, add 2 teaspoons of salt, 2 teaspoons of sweet paprika powder & 1 teaspoon each of hot paprika powder, curry powder and cumin & stir everything well until all the ingredients are mixed well.
Bring the contents of the pan to a boil while stirring occasionally & allow to simmer gently with the lid closed over low heat for approx. 10 – 12 minutes, stirring from time to time so that nothing can burn on the bottom of the pan. Meanwhile, finely chop some parsley for the garnish & set aside.
As soon as the pasta is cooked, season everything with salt, pepper & balsamic vinegar to taste & then place the one pot pasta on deep plates, garnish with some chopped parsley & some extra curry powder & serve. Have fun cooking!
